Mold Remediation

Remove the growth. Fix the moisture. Prevent the return.

Mold is more than just a stain; it indicates a moisture problem in the area. Our team blocks off the area, safely removes contaminated materials, uses HEPA cleaning on salvageable surfaces, and fixes the moisture problem to prevent mold from returning.

Whether it’s a crawlspace, basement, attic, or finished room, we work cleanly, communicate clearly, and leave the area clean, dry, and protected.

Why Remediation Matters

Mold remediation should do more than clean stains. When done correctly, it protects your home in three key ways:

Remediation stops the growth, and moisture control keeps it from coming back. Here’s what we often combine with cleanup for long-term protection:

Is Remediation the Right Next Step?

Use this quick guide to pick the smartest path forward:

Start remediation right away. Our team will contain the area, remove any contaminated materials, clean and treat what can be saved, and manage moisture to prevent future problems.

What we won’t do: paint over mold, use only fogging as a quick fix, or rely on ozone treatments that ignore moisture issues. Our focus is on removing the source and controlling moisture for lasting results.

Our Remediation Process

Remediation should keep the rest of your home safe while fixing the problem. Here’s how we do it: cleanly, safely, and with moisture control built in.

Containment & Site Protection

We isolate the work area with plastic barriers, protect your floors, and use HEPA filtration to keep dust and spores inside the contained space, not in your living areas.

Source & Contaminated Material Removal

We remove porous materials that have mold, such as drywall, carpet pads, and insulation that are badly affected. All debris is disposed of properly, and we keep the work area clean.

HEPA Clean & Treat Salvageable Surfaces

We use HEPA vacuums and antimicrobial cleaning on framing, concrete, and other hard surfaces. We never use shortcuts like painting over mold. If needed, we repeat the cleaning process until everything is clean and dry.

Drying & Dehumidification

We ensure wood, concrete, and other non-porous surfaces reach safe moisture levels, using dehumidifiers and fans when needed.

Fix the Source of Moisture

Cleaning up removes the mold, but controlling moisture prevents it from coming back. We’ll only suggest what your home needs to give you lasting results. Depending on your home, this can include:

What to Expect

Most residential projects last 1-3 days, depending on size and access. You can usually stay at home, but we’ll ask everyone, especially children and pets, to avoid the work area.

Ongoing Support After Mold Remediation

Ongoing Support After Mold Remediation

Professional mold remediation eliminates mold and its causes, but moisture and airflow can change over time, especially in basements and crawlspaces.

The Cut ’N Dry Annual Protection Plan offers four levels, from free lifetime product guarantees to advanced options with inspections, surface testing, air quality checks, and extra oversight.

Depending on your plan, these services maintain stable conditions, catch moisture issues early, and prevent mold in the long term.

We don’t hide problems; we fix them. Once everything is dry and the moisture issue is resolved, we’ll greenlight any necessary repairs or rebuilding.

Frequently Asked Questions

From “Do I have to leave home?” to “Will it come back?”, here’s what Hoosier homeowners ask us most.

Not always. If growth is visible and the source is clear, we may go straight to remediation. We recommend Mold Inspection & Testing when the scope is unclear, hidden growth is suspected, or documentation is required (real estate, physician, insurance).

No. We don’t paint over active growth or rely on temporary fixes that only address symptoms. We remove contaminated materials, HEPA clean and treat salvageable surfaces, dry the area, and fix the moisture source. Coatings are considered only after proper cleanup and drying.

Most residential projects wrap in 1–3 days, depending on size and access.

Usually, yes. We contain the work area and run HEPA/negative air. Please keep children and pets out of the containment area.

If porous materials like drywall, carpet pad, and insulation are colonized with mold, we remove them. Solid wood and masonry can usually be cleaned and saved if structurally sound.

Yes. If requested, we coordinate post-remediation verification.

Coverage varies. Mold is often excluded unless it is directly linked to a covered water event. We provide photo documentation and a written scope to support your conversation with the insurer.

Costs depend on area size, demolition needs, access, and moisture fixes. We’ll give you a written, no-pressure estimate after inspection. Financing with simple monthly payments is available.

Clear a path to the work area (crawlspace/basement/attic), move fragile items nearby, and avoid cleaning in suspected areas for 24–48 hours.

Still have questions? We're happy to take a look and map the right next steps, no pressure.

From Mold and Odors to Clean, Healthy Air

From Mold and Odors to Clean, Healthy Air

When mold starts growing in a crawlspace, signs usually show up inside your home – musty smells, sagging floors, and higher humidity.

This was the situation for one local homeowner. After noticing ongoing odors and worrying about mold under her house, Crystal reached out to us for help.

The team explained each step clearly, worked quickly, and made sure the crawlspace was fully treated from start to finish. The area went from being damp and moldy to clean, stable, and professionally restored.

The change was not just something you could see; it could be felt throughout the whole house.

“I had mold, sagging floors and just an overall smelly crawlspace… Justin and Steven were fast, efficient and very professional. They kept me informed during the process and did a WONDERFUL job!!!”

My crawl space was a mess. I hired Crawlspace remediation for the works. They removed old insulation, treated mold, insulated block walls, installed a sump pump, trenched drains, and encapsulated the entire crawl space in thick plastic. Now, my crawl space is immaculate. It's much more appealing to go down there for routine maintenance, since I don't come out covered in mud. I can actually see all of my plumbing and electrical. It makes it much easier to spot plumbing leaks. More importantly, it is clean. Mold is gone, and it stays dry. I don't have to worry about my floors rotting out any longer, or what the mold is doing to the health of my family. They completed the job in a timely manner, exactly as we agreed on in the estimate. Their prices were reasonable. They stayed busy the entire time they were here, with very minimal disruption to the household. Additionally, I pointed out a small issue with billing, and they went above and beyond to make things right. I highly recommend Crawlspace Remediation. They do good work!

Brett with Crawlspace Remediation was very professional, friendly, nice and knew what he was doing! He took photos of all my ceiling registers that I have concerns with water damage. I highly recommend this company for possible mold concerns and have them come out to do a tape test (in my case) and a professional inspection! They will send the tape test off to a third party for final results! Thank you so much for your company!!!

Amazing company. In a quick time got a very detailed quote with pictures of the issues they discovered! Excellent customer service including following up. Discoverer them about 2 years ago for attic insulation needs. I was already expecting them to say it is low, which it was for a 50 year old house. They brought me up to the correct R rating and have saved $$ on heating/cooling. Thanks Sam and your team
