Our Story
Cut ‘N Dry Waterproofing started in 2011 after a chance conversation in a barber shop. Our owner, Sam Goode, chatted with a woman who mentioned a crawlspace problem that had been overlooked for years. That talk led to our first job.
From that first home, the company grew just as Sam likes to say:
“grassroots, one customer at a time.”
In those early days, we were known as Crawlspace Remediation, focused almost entirely on moisture issues, mold cleanup, and crawlspace repair. No big warehouse. No sales force. Just the tools, honest work, and a commitment to fixing problems the right way.
As more people heard about us, homeowners started asking for more than just crawlspace help. They needed drainage solutions, foundation protection, radon mitigation, and cleaner indoor air. Instead of sending them elsewhere, we learned how to handle these needs ourselves and grew by joining with Radon Control Services, bringing their skills and expertise into our team.
Over time, we realized the names “Crawlspace Remediation” and “Radon Control” didn’t cover everything we did. Homeowners thought of us as more than crawlspace experts – they saw us as the team who could protect their whole home.
That’s when we became Cut ‘N Dry Waterproofing, to reflect our evolution and the way we approach every job: clean, complete, and cut-and-dry.

A Moment That Shaped Our Purpose
One project that changed how we see our work wasn’t a home. It was a local GameStop. Employees had been getting sick, and even though the store looked clean and well-kept, something was clearly wrong.
Air testing revealed the real problem: over 80,000 mold spores per cubic meter. These were some of the highest levels we had ever seen.
We performed a complete remediation and applied an air-quality solution. When we returned a week later for follow-up testing, the change was immediate. Mold counts had dropped to nearly zero. The air felt lighter, the store smelled clean again, and the staff finally felt comfortable in their own workspace.
That experience made something very clear to us: We don’t just repair structures. We help improve the lives of the people inside them.
